Thanksgiving is almost here! It’s literally my favorite holiday. Not many people get to say that their birthday falls on a national holiday, but every four years I do. Sadly I have to wait two years for that to happen again! If you haven’t figured it out by now, I’m a huge foodie! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE to eat!!
My patents always go overboard for thanksgiving. My mother goes over the top with food as well as decorations. There are usually like 20 side dishes ham and turkey! Like… we eat and eat well! Her favorite part about thanksgiving is decorating the table. Each year, my mom tries to turn our house into a little farm house that over 20 people enjoy the most amazing dinner ever. She’s always on point!
So long story short… she takes inspiration from Country Living Magazine on how to set her table. Many years there’s a lot of lace with Mason Jar centerpieces! Sometimes real flowers and others… just a table cloth because my grandmother said something that made my mom mad! Sometimes I think she spends more time thinking about how the table looks instead of the meal itself. Not being able to go home this year for thanksgiving is going to be tough, but hopefully they’ll make a trip here!
Well, a couple weeks ago, country living released this years suggestions for table decorations. My mom would never do this, but I’m in love the use of flannel this year. It defiantly brings different colors to the table. The color sage was also a common theme between the tables. I spent hours looking at the different options. I thought I would share them with you!
