Say it isn’t snow.
It had to happen sooner or later. A school district in South Carolina has been chosen to be part of a new eLearning program where snow days are completely replaced with at-home, online assignments. Students will be provided Chromebook devices from which they will access Google Classroom containing their actual assignments. If students don’t have Internet access at home, the assignments can be regularly downloaded and kept up to date at school.
The school district’s calendar for the 2018-2019 school year includes room for no make-up weather days. The ‘eLearning’ days will be announced, and kids will be expected to work at home on their Chromebook.
