I want to update you on what I told you on Tuesday for Thursday’s weather. Heavy thunderstorm activity in Iowa and Missouri Wednesday night and Thursday morning, along with continued cloudiness Thursday, will drastically hold back severe weather potential for Thursday late afternoon and evening. It’s still possible that a couple storms may turn severe on us, but even if this happens, those storms likely wouldn’t reach the level of severity or remain severe long enough to create widespread major impacts. It looks like we’ll get the best-case scenario around here — a bit more needed rainfall from mainly-garden-variety showers and storms.
Temperatures will make it into the middle 70s to 80 Thursday afternoon, and the humidity will remain very high — that air-you-can-wear feeling. The best chance for rain still looks to be after 4:00pm and through the evening and early night-time thereafter — though very isolated rain will occur even earlier than 4:00pm.
