What’s going on?
It’s the 20th anniversary of Clean Out Your Files Day! Come celebrate with us at Area Recyclers at 1818 West Burlington Avenue just over the railroad overpass off Mount Pleasant Street behind Keystone Products on Thursday, April 12, 2018.
Between 8:00am and 4:00pm Thursday, for no charge, bring your old office, computer, and copy papers, catalogs, magazines, newspapers, phone books, envelopes, file folders, and corrugated cardboard to be recycled. Bring what you want – there is no limit on these. Please bring items in boxes or paper bags.
Staples, paper clips, and even ‘window’ envelopes are fine, but wire-bound, plastic-bound, and hardback notebooks and books can not be accepted. Volunteers will be happy to unload your items. This is a convenient drive-through style of service.
What about sensitive documents?
We’ll be able to take care of these for you too. Bring up to two paper grocery sacks or comparably sized boxes worth of sensitive documents for secure document destruction by Hope Haven.
What if I have already-shredded paper?
Bring your already-shredded paper in a clear bag so that Area Recyclers can easily see what’s inside.
I’m a business/small business operator. May I bring my old invoices and documents?
Contact Area Recyclers at (319) 753-8126, or find Area Recyclers on Facebook for more information.
Thanks to sponsors and volunteers: Hope Haven Document Destruction, Burlington Lions Club, Burlington High School Ecology and LEO Clubs, and the Notre Dame LEO Club.
