Time for another great lunch out for Greater Burlington Restaurant Week! My “girls” for the day were my wonderful mother and niece. Our stop:
After their Grand Reopening this weekend, mom and I have been discussing stopping by… Listeners posting their wonderful looking lunch picture with #GBRW made me want to try it even more. The Youngs are food sharers… so we started off with their epic nachos and a big bowl of mushroom soup. Mom said their soup was as good as it has ever been, then my niece took the opportunity to help herself to the whole bowl. Their nachos were huge… we took most of these home for later!
Now down to the business…… those lunch specials!!! I have seen people posting them using #GBRW and couldn’t wait to try them for myself! They lived up to their hype! First up, Brisket Sliders in a Guinness BBQ with waffle fries and fresh pineapple….. wow. I didn’t have the fries, but Peyton said they were “amazing yummy”. Great flavor in the sliders and just the right amount. Plus, I am a sucker for pineapple, so that won me over pretty quickly. Up next, the Steak Diane, which was impressive by itself, but it also came with fresh green beans with bacon and roasted potatoes cook to perfection. Those potatoes were out of this world. The three of us all tried hogging them. Each of these were only $8, we were stuffed and we still took home quite a bit. Except for the soup, Peyton made sure that was allllll gone.
